A public consultation on MEET’s draft of the ordinance for the conditions and the terms for issuance, transfer, cancellation and recognition of the guarantees of origin for renewable energy begins. Guarantees of origin for the renewable energy are provided in accordance with the Directive 2009/28/EC. They are used by the electricity supplier to prove to the users the share of renewable energy in the overall energy mix. All activities on the issue, transfer and cancellation of guarantees of origin will be carried out by the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development and the control on them – by the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism. The project determines rules for the procedures and the establishment of guarantees of renewable energy’s origin and regulates other actions with them. This refers also to the guarantees of origin that are being issued by the competent authorities in other EU members. The project provides means for using the system for issuing those guarantees and to maintain it. The conditions and procedures for keeping a public register are also given, including the circumstances that are subject to entry and cancellation. The ways for obtaining information from the public register are also defined.
