Dragomir Stoynev: We managed to stabilize NEC through the measures undertaken
We managed to stabilize the National electric Company EAD (NEC) through the measures undertaken by the current government. If we had followed the business program of NEC for 2012-2014, approved by the experts of the previous government, the financial result of NEC EAD would have reflected a loss of BGN 500 million in 2013 and BGN 700 million in 2014. The business plan indicates deteriorating financial condition of the company and its liquidity as a result of the financial risk imposed by the regulatory and pricing conditions under which the company has operated. By mid -2013, no activities has been undertaken to avoid the negative outcomes. This said the Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoynev today at a press conference on the topical issues in the energy sector.
